Detroit's Taylor exemplar Academy elementary and middle school have won some local awards:
Guy Gordon and Rhonda Walker of the Channel 4 local morning news group adopted Taylor Exemplar Academy as one of their area schools for successful community service.
Ms. Howard, a 20-year-veteran teacher of Music and Humanities and a former Motown violinist, has spearheaded our successful string and music program.
We have also won many National Heritage Academies awards:
- Parent Engagement “Eagle Award” – 2007, 2008
- Employee Engagement “Eagle Award” – 2007, 2008
- NHA Excellence In Teaching Award (2007) – Mrs. Johnson (1st Grade Teacher)
- More than 95% Parent Satisfaction since opening in 2006
